What Happens during a Routine Dental Exam?
Your comprehensive dental exam at Pampa Dental Arts includes:
- Medical history review to discuss any changes in your health or medications that might affect your dental care
- Visual examination to check your teeth, gums, tongue, and oral tissues for any signs of concern
- Oral cancer screening to identify suspicious changes in oral tissues
- Gum disease evaluation to measure the spaces between your teeth and gums, to check for signs of gum disease
- Tooth-by-tooth check to look for decay, cracks, wear, or other issues
- Examination of existing dental work, including crowns, bridges, and fillings
If Dr. Mohr finds a concern, he will explain why it needs attention and the benefits of treating it. He’ll make treatment recommendations and make sure you feel fully informed about your options before we proceed.
Do you worry about your oral health? Has it been longer than you’d like to admit since your last dental visit?
Even with excellent home care, plaque and tartar build up in hard-to-reach areas of your mouth and increase your risk of developing gum disease. Professional cleanings by our skilled hygienist every six months remove these deposits that brushing and flossing alone can't.
